a dreamland, a diary, a bedroom full of souvenirs, a well-used notebook, a space for you to empty your thoughts. What do we do? We stay here for you. We're a community, a magazine, a blog--we're whatever you want us to be.

In Summer 2020, Ogma was created with the intention of providing a space for young creators to showcase their works. Ogma has since blossomed into a vibrant community of people from all over the world sharing their art and writing with each other in quarterly magazines and weekly online features. Ogma was named after the God of learning and knowledge in Irish mythology: two things we hold dear to our hearts here at Ogma.

Here at Ogma, we are committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion. We are able to grow and learn better with a diverse team of staff and contributors. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring, regardless of education, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or beliefs.

Ogma reserves the right to reject any submission that it receives, although it makes us very sad to do so - sometimes a piece doesn't fit our theme or vibe and that is not a reflection on you or your talent. Keep on creating and we always welcome people to submit again with another piece. Creators who submit to Ogma will almost always be contacted regarding the status of their submission except in extremely rare cases (e.x. submitter history of racism, abuse/hostility, etc). We reserve the right to ignore contact efforts on these grounds.  Lastly, the work that is selected for our online and print platforms is purely based on the relevancy and quality of content. Donations do not guarantee acceptance.

As of right now, we are an independent, non-profit magazine. Donations directly fund the issues or other operational costs such as domain subscriptions and graphic design tools, which allows to continue to create the best magazine possible for you! We currently pay for everything out of pocket, so any donation, no matter how small, not only means a lot but makes a true impact. You can donate here.
